Presentation Concept
Brief:
To design a useable space for the Banqueting Garden, which is primarily used for weddings or functions.
Design Ideas:
The design was based around the existing Betula in the garden. The concept is of two rings inter locking, using the existing Betula as one ring and therefore planting another Betula to create the second ring. The two trees are then to be enclosed by a small Buxus hedge, creating a more intimate space. Within the borders were planted multi stemmed Betula, Stipa grasses, Sedum, Verbena bonariensis and Gaura, creating a natural planting scheme.
The car park is screened by a split two level Taxus baccata hedge.
